From the Salem Evening News - Salem, MA - Friday March 16, 1906:
Beverly, March 16 - Lewis Dion of 71 Congress street, Salem, was almost instantly killed at the local station, last evening, during the fierce snow storm.
He had gotten off train 133 about 9 o'clock, and stepped in front of train 103, being terribly mangled beneath the wheels. He was taken into the baggage room, where he died in a few minutes.
Medical examiner Haddock viewed the remains, and they were then turned over to the care of Undertaker Gentlee.
Mr. Dion was long in the employ of the Boston & Maine railroad under Foreman Shinnick of Salem, but some time ago was transferred to the gang under Foreman Conant of Beverly. He was about 65 years of age, and leaves a family.
