Notes for Esther Pelletier
John Bishop's archive from 1951 denotes Esther's name as "Estelle Esther".4,5
Joe Bishop's (Joseph Alfred Firmin Bishop) notes from 1982 refer to her as "Estelle" - including her name as recorded on her son "Pierre's" death certificate. Several known documents include her signature as “Estelle” or “Tante Estelle”.

Enfants de Adelaide Robin:
Adelaide Esther Pelletier ref.: fille pe281b, m. (1) 04-08-1857, La Pocatière, Thomas Langlais / Serin, m. (2) 14-01-1861, Isle Verte, Firmin Lévesque. [thus claiming that Adélaïde and Esther are the same person]6

The confusion about the sisters’ names may be caused by the younger sister Adélaïde having the same middle name as the first name of her older sister. Esther’s use of the name “Estelle” may have been because it was her middle name or an attempt to differentiate herself from her sister who may have gone by her middle name! They were, however, different individuals, contrary to the records of the Pelletier genealogists! Esther seems to have used either name as required.
Notes for Firmin (Spouse 1)
Per 1851 census, lived at Isle Verte, employed as "Journalier" - day laborer.
Family moved to "Banks" suburb of Bay City, MI about 1872.
Children's surname altered there (probably for school) to "Bishop", the English translation of "Lévesque".

Lived at 1111 Leng Street in West Bay City, MI - at least until Esther (Estelle) died there in 1900.

1880 U.S. Census - "Fearman" BISHOP - age 49
