Notes for Ruth Loakes Coles
My mother [Ruth Loakes Coles] met my father [Firmin Joseph Bishop] at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He was an engineering student and she was a student nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital. Don Roberts [son of Jim Roberts, husband of Orvilla Coles] remembers going to the office of Dr. Brakie to have a tape worm removed and my mother was working in his office at the time.1
