Anna Draude's parents were both divorced and both remarried. She lived with her grandmother Schmidt until the grandmother's death when she went to live with her uncles. The uncle Draude (Traude) had a candy store with someone named Derby. The store or factory was at Fayette and Washington. The shaving mug we have has the name spelled Draude, but Anna Draude talked about the name being confused with Traudy and being teased by being called Trouty (like the fish).3
