City Fireman and Mother Pass Away: Mrs. Delia Samson and son, Albert, Die Early Today

A mother and son, Mrs. Delia Samson, of 901 Elm Street, and Albert Samson, of 1671 Cass Ave., died within four hours of each other at their respective homes early today. Mrs. Samson had been ill three months and her death was attributed to heart disease. Albert Samson died from tuberculosis after an illness of one year.

Mrs. Delia Samson was born in Canada on February 22, 1868, and came to Bay City when a girl, having resided here for the past 52 years. She was a member of Visitation Church. Surviving are her husband Peter; three daughters, Mrs. J.L. Trudell, of this city, Marie, at home, and Mrs. M.H. Seward, of Saginaw; one son Irving of Detroit, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock from the Visitation Church with Rev. Fr. De Quoy officiating.

Albert Samson was 35 years old and had been a resident of the city practically all of his life. He leaves a wife Rose. On March 5, 1920 he was appointed as a member of the fire department and was attached to No. 1 pump at headquarters. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church and of the Metropolitan Club.

Mrs. Samson died at 4:20 this morning and the son died just four hours earlier.
