Eldred and Laura Watts ran a hotel in McKerrow, ON .

After marriage separation, Gerald and Sheila were raised by Alphonse and Laura Bishop in Spanish, ON. Earl (known as Bobby) was raised by Eldred Watts (aka Jack) and stayed at various places where Eldred Watts taught, mainly in northern towns but it seems home base for them was Paris, ON where the Watts family had settled when they came from England.

Shirley Watts was placed in care of the C.A.S. and was raised in the old orphanage in Sudbury also various foster homes. Kenneth was also in care of the C.A.S. and foster homes.
